Post viral headache

A post-viral headache is a type of headache that occurs after a viral infection, such as the flu, COVID-19, or a cold. It typically develops as part of the recovery phase and can persist for days or even weeks after the infection has cleared. These headaches are often due to inflammation, immune response, or dehydration caused by the virus. They may feel similar to tension headaches or migraines, with symptoms like a constant dull ache or throbbing pain. Rest, hydration, and over-the-counter pain relief are common treatments, but persistent cases may require medical attention.

A post-viral headache occurs after recovering from a viral infection, often due to lingering inflammation or immune response. It can last for days or weeks and may resemble a tension headache or migraine.
